The Republican party and the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party are currently the only parties that are recognized as major parties in the State of Minnesota. If you do not affiliate with one of these parties, you can choose to select "No Party" and serve as an unaffiliated judge. Unaffiliated judges are not able to perform party specific functions in the polling place.

Have you signed up directly with a city or town to be an Election Judge? City and town clerks outside of Mankato City hire and appoint their own Election Judges.

Once trained, you will be assigned to work as an Election Judge in the City of Mankato. You will receive training information in a separate email no sooner than 60 days of the the next election.
